Hurricanger 10 Years After

To this moment I'm still not sure if J-Pop's really the right genre to classify this band under

1080p (this patch is for BunnyHat’s 1080p raw release)

Before you get onto this trip to a memory lane that you probably haven’t been to, the reason why this is just being released now lays completely and squarely upon me, since everyone else who took a pass did their job swiftly and in time. Shit happens, sadly, one after another. Welp.

Anyways, here we are! This movie follows the Hurricanger and Gouraiger ten years after (duh) the events of their tv show, so most things won’t, understandably, make much sense unless you’ve seen the show beforehand. Regardless, it’s an interesting movie that remains fun enough to enjoy even if you haven’t watched the whole show.

Those who’ve watched HaroRangers’ releases of Hurricanger should be familiar with the names and style used throughout the movie, which we tried to adhere to as close as possible.

An important element to this movie is the band Junretsu (純烈), which is a real J-pop band, except here they write the 純 of 純烈 in romaji as JUN, hence JUNretsu. It’s comprised of Gaoranger‘s Gao Black, Kamen Rider Ryuki‘s Kitaoka, Hurri‘s KabutoRaiger, Gills from Kamen Rider Agito, and two other members.  The absentee from their direct-to-video debut performance is Tomoi Yusuke, the green-colored Kamen Rider Gills.

The song Silent Sorrow is written by Sakai Kazuyoshi (GaoBlack) and musicalized by Hideaki Takatori (the singer of Hurricanger’s OP). It’s an original song written for the movie.

Here’s a video of Junretsu’s 2013 single, “Love is a Blue Rose”:

  1. Feel free to reply to this post with DDL links for this release, if you have any.
Any DDLs posted outside this comment thread will be purged as we see fit. Thanks!

  2. Why do people continue to insist that it is spelled Hurricanger? It is HurricanEger, always has been, always will be.

  3. I finished the download of this file and I think the torrent might be corrupted. I started to play it and the video would pause while the audio continued. I thought it was my computer, but I’ve played 1080P stuff before and it didn’t do this. Has anyone else finished and experienced the same problem?

  4. Omg that movie was so fun to watch :)
The beginning was kind of slow but still great 😛
Was disapointed that it wasn’t the original Shurikenger :(
    I loved him!

  5. Anybody have trouble watching the movie? Don’t know why but I can’t stream it *properly*. Lag all the time even though I’ve updated the codec pack to lastest *sigh*

  6. First time I’ve ever had to go down to the 720p version, CPU can’t handle the 1080. 720 still looks really good, so it works, but Nao should always be as hi-res as possible.

  7. Thank you so much!
I originally watched Hurricanger back in 04′ and this has been a phenomenal addition to the greatest sentai team of them all!
